A storage tank is a pressure-retaining item, so weld quality is not negotiable. All welding is carried out by certified welders working to approved procedures.
Fit-up and weld preparation are inspected before welding starts, and the completed vessel is non-destructively tested and pressure tested before despatch.
Material certificates, NDT reports and pressure test certificates are issued with the tank so the whole build is traceable.
